    My wife and I absolutely love this little Mexican restaurant. From the moment you walk in you are greeted instantly by the staff. It’s definitely a small restaurant however there seem to be a lot of tables. The chips are fresh and the salsa is absolutely delicious. I like adding the salsa on top of my rice. My wife and I typically order the enchiladas because it’s hard to pass them up they are so good. We like that they offer tortillas on the side if you wish. The prices are really good for what you get I definitely recommend El Sombrero!

    El Sombrero Mexican Food Restaurant is the second of two places where I will eat Mexican food because it is very authentic. All of their entrees are delicious, but I like their Nachos. You can build it the way you want. I also love their Chile rellenos, tacos rice and beans.

    Stopped in Bakersfield with lifelong friends driving back to So. Cal. from a trip to Yosemite. All of us Mexican food lovers... This restaurant is legit! Prompt, attentive service, delicious authentic Mexican food served in a family setting, and the owner stopping by the tables to check if everything is OK. They've been here 52 years... and for good reason!

    Great old restaurant in Bakersfield CA. Love that they have been there for 50 years. Love going there each time I am in Bakersfield CA. It is like Mexican comfort food.
